How Adoption Works

Our adoption process is designed to find the best match for both you and the animal — simple, supportive, and rewarding.

Browse & Connect

Browse our available animals and find one that speaks to your heart. Submit an adoption inquiry to let us know you are interested.

Application & Meet

Complete a short application so we can learn about your lifestyle, then we arrange a meet-and-greet with your chosen animal.

Welcome Home

Once approved, finalize the adoption contract and fee. Your new companion comes fully vaccinated and spayed or neutered.

Requirements

What We Look For in an Adopter

We want every adoption to be a long-term success. Our requirements are designed to ensure happy forever homes — not to discourage good people.

  • Must be 18 years or older with valid photo ID
  • Stable housing; renters must confirm pet-friendly lease
  • Commitment to keep cats as indoor-only pets
  • All household pets must be spayed or neutered and vaccinated
  • Willingness to provide veterinary care throughout the animal's life
  • Agreement to return the animal to FFF if unable to keep them
